For 25 years , The Santa Clausehas been a belovedChristmas movieadored by kids and adults of all ages . The 1994 picture engender two sequel in 2002 and 2006 , but it was the original that first brought smiles to our face and reminded us how to believe in Santa .
The Santa Clause(and that ’s not a typo ) is about a man named Scott ( Tim Allen)who finds himself capable to a clause about becoming the new Santa after the old Santa accidentally decrease off the roof of Scott ’s house onChristmasEve . Scott ’s the new grownup guy wire in guardianship at the North Pole whether he wish it or not , and he must learn how to handle being Santa while also fighting for detainment of his young boy Charlie . While the film is both sweet and funny , there were some parts that had us scratching our mind . Here are ten questions we have after watchingThe Santa Clause :
Where does the original Santa go after disappearing?
On Christmas Eve , poor Scott incidentally scares Santa , stimulate the merry man to fall off of the roof . Then Santa just … disappears , provide his suit of clothes behind . We assume that the fall has tragically led to Santa ’s demise , but why did he disappear afterward ? It ’s probably good that he enigmatically vanishes because no nestling want to be traumatize by a stiff Santa in their curtilage ( peculiarly if their pappa is at fault ) , but where the heck did he go ?
Did his body get as if by magic transported back to the North Pole ? Is it just gone , and now he ’s in heaven or wherever deceased Santas go ? We at least want to recognise where we can go to pay our respects .
Why do the reindeer take off if Scott hadn’t put on the suit?
Santa disappears after his fall , so Scott pick up the lawsuit and go up to the roof . However , he does n’t put it on yet . He gets in the sled to try and coax Charlie out of it , telling him , " Let ’s go . " The reindeer take this as a sign to commence flying , and off they all go .
The card that Scott find on Santa made it seem like Scott would demand to be wearing the suit for the reindeer to know that they should take him somewhere . Would they have taken off no matter who was in the sleigh tell apart them to go ? That does n’t seem like a very full security system . How do they not get stolen ?
Why aren’t the elves upset that the other Santa is gone?
The Santa that go forth the North Pole is not the same Santa as the one that returns . All the pixie seem to actualize this decently away … and they ’re seemingly o.k. with it . They do as if it ’s totally normal , almost as if they were expecting it . In fact , most of them are all smiles . Why do n’t they show any unhappiness ?
Who knows how long the previous Santa had been around , but they probably all got to know him and spend at least some meter with him . Now he ’s just gone suddenly , and they ’ll never see him again . Are elves just heartless little beings ? Are they incapable of feeling sorrow ? Is the Christmas magic in the North Pole too strong for tears ? Well … we’resad about Santa …
How long would Santa have lived if he hadn’t fallen off of the roof?
Okay , so we ’re drop a muckle of prison term discussing Santa ’s dying , but the whole thing is just so unknown to us ! Obviously Santa has a circle of magic ( the case , his bag , his sleigh ) , so if he had n’t fallen off of the cap , would he have lived for longer than an average human ? Does his magic make him live for a very prospicient time ?
Perhaps he was already very old and had been Santa for hundreds of long time . Maybe it ’s not all important to the plot of the movie , but we really need to know the life expectancy of a Santa . ( When we tried Googling it , we instead found the life expectancy in Santa Barbara , which was n’t much assistant . )
Why are the elves working on toys already?
We have sex that Scott , aka Santa , gets bring to the North Pole by the reindeer after he finishes delivering present on Christmas Eve . As he makes his way about the workshop follow the head elf Bernard , we see many elves scattered about , and they all seem to be very busy . We can see that some of them are bring on toy , which , after all , is a Christmas elf ’s main task . However , it ’s the end of the night on Christmas Eve .
Are they really already getting a forefront part on toy for next twelvemonth ? Out of all times to take a break , this seems like a good one . Do they not get time off ? Hopefully there ’s an Elf Union they can get through .
How does Bernard know that Scott is a businessman?
As Scott get at the North Pole , everyone visit him Santa , no matter how much he protest that his name is not Santa . The head elf Bernard is trying to excuse that because Scott put on the courtship , he thereby accepted the stipulations of the Santa Clause . Scott is a bit puzzled . " seem , " Bernard says . " You ’re a businessman , right ? " Scott confirms . He solve for a plaything fellowship , but how does Bernard know this ? Scott may not be question it , but we certainly are .
Why is Bernard so mad at Scott for not understanding?
Bernard is trying desperately to get Scott to understand what ’s move on . Scott is now the new Santa because he read the card and put on Santa ’s suit , thereby agreeing to the Santa Clause , a article that Scott did not read or know anything about . He is very confused , and Bernard is getting extremely dun by this . Give the cat a break .
One minute he was asleep in his bed , and then the next matter he knew , he ’s in a magical sleigh with fly Rangifer tarandus and able to squeeze down chimneys to deliver present . Then he ends up in the middle of nowhere at a workshop and is being recite he ’s Santa . He did n’t even believe in any of this stuff not too long beforehand , and now he ’s just been thrown into the middle of all of it . We do n’t blame him for being a bit bewildered .
Why does Bernard send The List to Scott by mail?
Now that Scott has become to Santa , he has to make a lean and check it double . Bernard say he will transmit The List to Scott ’s house briefly , and it shortly arrive . It issue forth in many many box . We do n’t get to see just how many , but considering it contains every minor he must deliver to , we ’re guessing it ’s a circumstances more than what is shown . postage stamp for all those packages could n’t be punk .
We ca n’t assist but be rum … why did n’t Bernard just netmail The List ? Email live at the time the movie come out , and even if it did n’t , pixie have their own special technology , as seen in the upgrade sleigh later on . For that affair , why did n’t they just habituate some sort of Christmas conjuring trick to get The List to Scott ? It seems like it would have been a good deal prosperous than lugging all those box to the nearest post business office ( which is in theSanta Claus Village at the Arctic Circle , by the way ) .
Wasn’t Scott supposed to return to the North Pole in November?
Before Scott go away Santa ’s Workshop on Christmas Eve , Bernard tells him that Scott has eleven months to get his things in order , and then he is to return on Thanksgiving That ’s all just fine and corking , except that we do n’t see Scott return to the North Pole until Christmas Eve the following year .
He arrives at the Workshop , the pixy catch him up with modification that they ’ve made , and then it ’s time to go extradite presents . Is it possible that he went , and they just did n’t show it ? It seemed like he would have to appease there for the whole calendar month before Christmas , but it ’s clear that he did not . What give , Santa ?
Why does nobody notice anything going on on the roof?
The follow Christmas , the constabulary are after Scott , and they ’re count for his son Charlie . They ’ve blocked off several streets surround Charlie ’s mom ’s house , and they are patrol outside . The sire and son soon land on the roof in the sledge , and then Scott heads down the lamp chimney . For a while , Charlie is sitting up there by himself , along with the sleigh and reindeer .
after on , some elves land on the roof to deliver Charlie , but the police and other citizenry in the orbit do n’t notice any of this . They do n’t even consider to look on the ceiling after Scott tells the police that Charlie is in the sleigh . Apparently , they ’re just content believing that Scott as if by magic materialise into the sign of the zodiac and leave the boy somewhere else . Charlie is the one they really want to find ; you would think they would be a bit more mindful of his whereabouts .
