Actor Josh Gad has lately spoken about his role as LeFou in Disney’sBeauty and the Beastand made point of reference to the “ weird controversy ” that it elicit . Gad was taking about his character LeFou being jolly .
Known as the interpreter of Olaf , the snowman fromFrozenand , most recentlyFrozen 2 , Gad also played the part of Gaston ’s trustworthy brother in the2017 bouncy - military action remake ofBeauty and the Beast . Speaking on Andy Cohen ’s Sirius XM radio show and reported inCollider , Gad talk of the last scenes of the movie , where LeFou dance with another man . Cohen , an emphasised supporter of the LGBTQ residential area question theBeauty and the Beastactor about LeFou ’s sexuality , progress to reference tothe part as gay and put forward that this was “ a heavy business deal ” . In the audience , Gad says that he was very light from the commencement that LeFou ’s “ happy ending ” would culminate in him dancing with a man in the windup moments of the pic .
