STX Entertainment’sCountdown(2019 ) has a mid - credits vista , so we break down what happens and what it means . Over the years , there have been plenty ofhorror moviesinspired by engineering , specifically cell phones . InCountdown , the premiss focuses on a particular app that tells user when they ’ll drop dead . However , if they convert their actions based on the data given to them by the app , they dishonor the user agreement and are tortured by a haunt figure of speech until they die .
As seen in theCountdownmovie trailer , the plastic film keep an eye on young nurse Quinn Harris ( Elizabeth Lail ) , who ascertain she ’ll cash in one’s chips in just a few days . Teaming up with fellow Countdown user who ’s expected to die shortly , Matt ( Jordan Calloway ) , Quinn prove to figure out how the app is excruciate its users so she can prevent her death and the expiry of her younger babe , Jordan ( Talitha Bateman ) . He did the same for Quinn and Matt , but they ’d already break their user agreements . It should also be note that , despite the vista act after the ending , it in reality take place before Quinn defeats theCountdownmovie app , which explains why Derek is kill after the resolve of the film .
