Nebraska , however , had alittle more in store for the teamthan anyone expected .

Several days by and by , Boom - Boom accidentally follow in Armor ’s footsteps directly to Sage ’s doorstep to track down some mutants of her own – mostly so she can get a much anticipated thank - you from Armor . Even though she needs Sage ’s helper , Boom - Boom can not defy cracking a joke about Sage ’s caper “ have attendance ” – even going so far as to suggest a new ( and barely flattering ) codename . Not about to suffer any fools , salvia fires back on the subject of Boom - Boom ’s mobile codename situation . Unsurprisingly , Sage has the gross to back her tan up .
The inclination of Boom - Boom ’s identities is dizzying , and Sage has probably one of the only mind on Krakoa that can keep them all straight . Name change have not been scarce in this new eld forX - Men – with fresh aliases take shape up from the like ofApocalypsetoGoldballs . However , Boom - Boom has them all beat by a long shot in terms of vaporous quantity when it comes to reinvent her personal identity . In increase to her current alias , she has gone by Meltdown , Firecracker , Doctor Madame McSplode , Time Bomb , and Boomer ( deplorably , Brisson skipped a near perfect opportunity for an " OK , Boomer " joke this progeny ) . Sage may have a fair point when she compare Boom - Boom ’s aliases to underwear .
On the matter of equity though , Boom - Boom has had some arguably beneficial excuses for all those new names . Time Bomb was her first gap at a code name - which grant her some leeway . Boomer was part of the New Mutant ’s team - wide-cut name change to the X - Force - and who could dissent that ? And Meltdown get about in the backwash of Sabretooth ’s unrelenting attack on her - the harm of which did importantly shift her identicalness . As for Doctor Madame McSplode - which is the only alias Boom - Boom protests - that name could even be attributed to a momentary reverting in judgement due to route - rage inCable and X - Force # 11 .
In light ofX - Man ’s huge revamp , this could be the perfect metre for a of a new addition to Boom - Boom ’s list of false name . Or perchance just the perfect chance to solidify the codename she presently has . It for certain seems to be the one that has stand by around – for now . Before Boom - Boom can get into a real identity crisis , however , she has some line to take care of in Nebraska . Whatever she ’s called , Armor and the mob might ask to contribute “ only hope ” to Boom - Boom ’s leaning of name calling .
