Cats
As one of the most storied melodious house production in the account of everything , Catshas captured the mind of coevals - Charles Frederick Worth of buff . It ’s also ahighly divisive production , with some trust that it has nothing even resembling a plot , while also never properly explain what a Jellicle cat really is .
The divisiveness was not assist out by the addition of theCatsmotion ikon . Suffering some of the worst rating imaginable , with glitches in the movie itself , there was enough deserving forgetting despite the dynamite casting .
Still , there are heap of memorable characters from the story , whether you like the show or not , and therefore they must be decent sorted into Hogwarts Houses . Let ’s get to it .
Mr. Mistoffelees—Ravenclaw
Mr. Mistoffelees has been picture in multiple , divers ways throughout the different rebirth ofCatsproductions , but through it all , he always retain the same service line of attributes that fit with how TS Eliot delineate him .
Through it all , he possesses unbelievable talent and intelligence , so much so that he does n’t often know how to employ it the right way , as he ’s still rise into his own power . With such a focus on intelligence and power , as well as a pretty pronounced independency from the rest period of the cats , he has to fit into Ravenclaw .
Jennyanydots—Gryffindor
Whether she recognize it or not , Jennyanydots is dead a Gryffindor . Despite being a doting , loving , and caring motherly figure to all the other cats out there , she is also stern , focused , and determined in her part as a leader among the qat . If anyone falls out of line , she is quick to correct them and make thing right-hand , though she does so the way a good mother would , not the way , say , a Lucious Malfoy would .
Thus , with such leadership skill and dedication to what is right , she is very much a Molly Weasley type persona .
Old Deuteronomy—Gryffindor
Old Deuteronomy is the old , lumber leader of the Jellicle computed tomography clan . He is universally loved by all the cats across all social groups and , allow ’s not nonplus around the bush , he is practically the cat version of Albus Dumbledore , who was also a Gryffindor . Thus Old Deuteronomy is a Gryffindor as well . Despite being old and slow , there ’s no doubt that in his untested Clarence Day , he was a imposing , dauntless cat that did what was right for the trade good of his fellow felines .
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer—Slytherin
The first two cats to down in Slytherin , both Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer both show some pretty obvious signs of coming from the house of Voldemort . They are n’t evil , by any way . All they ever really commit is petty theft , but they ’re so near at it . They are quick and needlelike - witted and while they commit the law-breaking that they do . They are loosely accept among most cats , though many see through the ruse of their good - nature and see them for what they are .
With such a frontage of sound nature and an underbelly of nefariousness , they are easy Slytherins .
Demeter—Hufflepuff
Demeter is not a very potent or forthright cat . She ’s very anxious , very nervous , and it might have something to do with a past relationship with Macavity , roundabout soul that he is . Still , it ’s pull up stakes Demeter excite and in need of protection , which is provided by her companion Bombalurina .
Still , despite being so reserved and unsure of herself , she is a caring true cat who has early sympathy for Grizabella , which seems to be the gauge between Hufflepuff and just about everyone else .
Bombalurina—Gryffindor
Bombalurina comes across as rather arrogant and self - serving at clock time with her brash confidence and outspoken feelings towards all the other cat-o'-nine-tails . But while that can seem artful , and make her stand out in a negatively charged light , her protectiveness over Demeter recenters her general aureole so , at worst , she lands at a impersonal morality .
As for her sortable traits — she ’s confident and self-asserting but also protective and loyal . That makes her a prototypical Gryffindor .
Rum Tum Tugger—Slytherin
The rockstar of the Cats humans , Rum Tum Tugger lives at halfway stage . He is arrogant and preoccupied with his own end and will happily ban other cats if they do not help further his goal . Yet even in spite all of this , he has a monolithic fan base that follows him around , despite the older cats not exactly being thrilled with his overall demeanor .
While he does have a wholesome underside , this still lands him in Slytherin , res publica of the self-important and ego - serving .
Skimbleshanks—Gryffindor
Most of the older cats find themselves in Gryffindor simply because they ’ve hire on such a protectiveness of the young true cat . While that would push some into Hufflepuff , this protectiveness often require a courageousness and self-sacrifice that can more often be see in Gryffindor .
Skimbleshanks is also the grownup CT who " protects " the young true cat from Grizabella which , while misguided , shows his bravery in his willingness to defend them .
Munkustrap—Gryffindor
Munkustrap is yet another of the former cat and thus protectors of the younger , but if there were levels to the older cats ' " Gryffindordom , " Munkustrap would probably order as the highest , since he is n’t just protective of certain mathematical group , or of his special family , but of the integral clan . In the absence seizure of Old Deuteronomy , he is the leader of cluster . And that protectiveness and bravery peculiarly comes front and center when he fight off Macavity to save Demeter . It ’s the most Gryffindor act a cat can make .
Gus—Slytherin
Probably the hardest cat to place just because he ’s so sure-enough and , at least at the commencement , senile . He mumbles on about his time in the theatre of operations and the theatrical role he has spiel and criticizes the jr. cats for have no appreciation of the theatre .
What bring him in Slytherin is the haughtiness and noble-mindedness he shows towards what he used to be and how no one appreciates it . It ’s a very Slytherin way to see the world .
