When it was launched with the promise of giving readers " insurgent parodies of classic Poe stories , " few knew just what that would actually entail . Now enteringSeason Twoof theSnifterseries , Ahoy lecturer know to carry Poe take on innkeeper to frustrate pot of parody horror ( not too surprising for those already reading Ahoy ’s takeon DC ’s dynamical twosome , Dragonfly & Dragonflyman ) . And in our undivided trailer ofEdgar Allan Poe ’s Snifter of Terror Season Two # 3 , it ’s Poe ’s ' The Pit and The Pendulum ' being re - imagined as a modern case of constant drugging . evidently .
For those unfamiliar with the original poor story from Poe , it ’s a tale of psychological and forcible torment look by an imprisoned valet ( ready against the backdrop of the Spanish Inquisition ) . Putting him through lightless rooms , deadly falls , and allying with prison lowlife , the re - opine forSnifter of Terrorfollows a soldier , as mentioned above , being on a regular basis drugged via whiskey and bologna sandwiches .
