The new series from DC Black Label is tasked with telling two different , but intertwine stories : the torpedo who traveled off the edge of the worldly concern to terminate an evil terror by killing the last survive god , ushering in a novel age for the realm of Cain Anuun , and the innocent people who will pay for that lie thirty year into the future . The first did a good Book of Job of introducing the two ' Italian sandwich warriors ' of the story , with Tyr and his ring of champions in the past times , and Eyvindr the gladiator who seems to be much . much more ( interested readers can finda free prevue ofThe Last God # 1here ) . If there was only one main character it would be Queen Cyanthe , who we see briefly enough in the first issue . But when we ’re seeing Tyr in the flashbacks making his osseous tissue , we ’re also seeing this immature girl queen Cyanthe . Tyr is a reaver , and he finds Cyanthe . We see the events of the first company mostly through her center . We see how she grows from small-scale and weak to open and herculean , and eventually disenchanted and bitter . They was presuppose to be this family of heroes , and one by one allow eachother down . They let their seeking change them , and Cyanthe is the last one to turn . We see her in the present day thirty years later , and now she has a very different perspective than the stage of view of the slave . Cyanthe and Eyvindr are the two characters we see most intelligibly .
That ’s a pure setup for our preview ofThe Last God # 2 , first introducing Tyr who , along with his brother Torma , seems to chance upon the strange bloom plague release unacquainted people into twisted , gnarled monstrosities . While thirty year later in the age of Tyrgolad , Queen Cyanthe slide in to save the new hero , Eyvindr . Even if she ’s yet to reveal how much she actually knows about the hero sandwich he may become .
