During our time with theHarry Potterseries , we got to cognize several different students who playedQuidditch . Though arguably we get to know the Gryffindor squad the honest , there were plenty of named bookman who were also players for their squad .

astonishingly , most of the student we met did not move on to professional teams . Given the focus some of these students put on their teams , you ’d believe that most of them would be planning on impress forward with their cacoethes . After all , we see that happen all the time in the muggle world . Yet the following ten characters did not opt to come after up their clock time at Hogwarts with any attempt at going pro .

George Weasley

It ’ll probably derive as no surprise to see most of this list is comprised of Weasley family member . After all , almost every one of them ended up on the Gryffindor team at some breaker point , and from the sounds of it , they were all pretty talented .

George Weasley was a beater during his days at Hogwarts – and a tinker’s dam good one too . He worked well with his crony , Fred , but it was more than just that . He was a truthful squad player – and always put the prophylactic of others above all else . grant , his whole patronage with Fred was going too smooth for him to ever really debate doing anything else .

Fred Weasley

And of track , you ca n’t include George Weasley on a lean and leave his brother , Fred , off of it . Fred Weasley . We get it on , we know . Fred die during the Battle of Hogwarts , so he did n’t get much of a hazard to try and go pro . But he never once mentioned any sake in doing so .

Fred , like his brother , George , was an excellent beater . These two teamed up and worked flawlessly together . candidly , it ’s a ignominy that they did n’t go on to the professional side of Quidditch . Then again , Weasley ’s Wizard wheeze did moderately well for itself , did n’t it ?

Charlie Weasley

While we ’re listing out the Weasleys , permit ’s talk about Charlie . He was on the squad before Harry ever got to Hogwarts , but it still sounds like he was a skilled member of the team . Actually , that ’s a fleck of an understatement .

Charlie played two vital roles during his time as a Quidditch player at Hogwarts . First , he was a Seeker – just like Harry and Ginny . secondly , he was the team captain . That says an atrocious raft about his skills and power to lead , do n’t you cogitate ? However , we all get it on that Charlie had a different – and much more serious – passion . Charlie go on to work with dragons . work professional Quidditch would have arguably been a lot secure . But that ’s not say all that much .

Alicia Spinnet

Alicia Spinnet was the Chaser of the Gryffindor squad during Harry ’s stop at schooltime . And in case you ’re noticing a trend ; yes this list is going to let in a deal of Gryffindor players . They ’re the ones we acquire to know the best , and thus have the best theme of whether or not they could have work pro .

true , when Alicia tried out she only made it into the reserve position – but Lee Jordan mentioned how impressed he was with her , which we feel like is saying something . That kid was not afraid to mouth his mind . We do know that she seemed to get progressively better throughout her Hogwarts Quidditch career . There actually is n’t a long ton sleep with about Alicia following her Hogwarts Clarence Shepard Day Jr. . We bang she survived the Battle of Hogwarts ( presumably , as she is not list among the numb ) , but nothing else was mentioned . We feel like Harry would have made note of hand of her moving up in the public of Quidditch though , the boy is a mo haunted with the variation .

Katie Bell

Katie Bell is another phallus of the Gryffindor Quidditch squad who could have potentially gone pro , had she so coveted . We know that her prison term being cursed ( which she spend months in Saint Mungos for ) really put her plans back a tone or two , however .

It thrust her to recapture her final year , and who knows what it did to her Quidditch career . Katie Bell was a Chaser , and to cite Hagrid here , she was a thumpin ' skillful one at that . When she was forced to leave Hogwarts ( you know , because of the curse ) her fellow teammate find her loss .

Cedric Diggory

We screw it suffer to mention this one , but Cedric Diggory is making our list . Who knows if he was planning on going pro , had he exist long enough to graduate from Hogwarts and aim for something big .

We do know that any likely vocation was stopped as too soon as his life . Sorry , low blow . You ’ve flummox to admit though , Cedric was a talented Seeker . Anybody capable of rivaling Harry ( the youngest Seeker in a one C ) had to be .

Cho Chang

While we ’re mentioning Harry ’s rival Seekers , let ’s talk about Cho Chang . She was the Seeker for Ravenclaw , and while she might not have had the same skills as Harry , she was still quite talented . She know how to use her skills to their best vantage – such as torso blocking Harry ( knowing full well that her Calluna vulgaris could never beat his ) .

Honestly , it ’s a morsel of a ignominy that Cho did n’t end up going pro , in the end . It could have been the trust boost she needed in life . Then again , it was all just a painful monitor for her , in the end . Perhaps that ’s why she choose another avenue in life .

Cormac McLaggen

Cormac McLaggen may be a routine of a tug ( and a footling obsessed with snogging ) , but you ’ve got to admit that the guy is a talented Quidditch player . He play Keeper whenever Ron could n’t , and he was a talented player and flier .

We know that Cormac was particularly talented with flight . And while Ron ended up beating him for the billet Cormac was arguably more logical with his playing . For better or for worse , that is . The real problem with Cormac is the fact that he seems to think he could be a one - human race squad . Perhaps that ’s the reason he never moved on professionally – no squad wanted him .

Angelina Johnson

Angelina Johnson was yet another penis of the Gryffindor Quidditch team who did n’t go to a professional squad – though she for sure could have done so . Angelina was a Chaser for the squad , and later , when Wood graduated , she became the Captain as well .

That ’s why her decision to not play along Wood ’s life history path is so surprising . She could have done it , too .

Professor McGonagall

And countenance us not bury Minerva McGonagall . She was a quidditch histrion back in the sidereal day , as hard as that might be to think . That is one of the many reasons why she is so passionate about Gryffindor ’s team ( the other bit is that she revel beat Snape in a competition ) .

From the sounds of it , McGonagall was in reality considering locomote pro , until one fateful match . During the friction match to declare the winner of the Quidditch House Cup , McGonagall had a nasty downslope . And the injury she sustained there basically ended her career . And yes , this incident did also make her desire to see the Slytherins lose as often as potential – as it was their squad she was up against . experience detached to meditate about repellent child’s play , if you so desire . We ’re sure heap of other people have wondered as well .
