J.K. Rowling’sHarryPotteris a series stuffed full of characters , so it ’s really no surprise that some just do n’t get the realisation they deserve . It ’s comfortable to make out the antagonists of a serial publication . What is sometimes much more difficult is spotting the heroes in the background . The obscure heroes , if you will .
swear us when we say thatHarry Potteris a serial full of unsung torpedo . These are the characters without whom the victory could have never happened , though sometimes their contributions may seem quite insignificant . But we ’re here to smoothen a visible light on all their achievement and what they did to make trusted the series preserve through to the ending .
Madam Pomfrey
Madam Pomfrey is arguably one of the most unmarked characters in the serial . She ’s the sole aesculapian provider for Hogwarts , which is something that should get your attention , given how many students are there — and how much worry ( learn : injuries and the like ) that they can create .
Without Madam Pomfrey , it ’s highly likely that Harry would have find out himself in the hospital — or worse — on more than one function . Seriously , think about it : how many times has Harry terminate up in the infirmary wing ?
So thank you , Madam Pomfrey , for keeping the stubborn main theatrical role that is Harry alive . We know that this was far from an easy project .
Crookshanks
Speaking of easily drop characters , let ’s spill about the shortest fictitious character on this list . Though perhaps that is n’t sound out all that much . We ’re talking about Crookshanks . Crookshanks got a bit of a bad repp early on in his introduction . He was picture as the villain that was hunting the wretched and decrepit Scabbers .
But we all know the truth of it now . Crookshanks knew properly aside that there was something not right about Scabbers , and seek to do something about it . Hermione ’s African tea even go so far as to friend with Sirius to get the job done . It ’s actually pretty impressive when you think about it . Without Crookshanks , Sirius would never have gotten so tightlipped to Scabbers ( a.k.a . Wormtail ) or the Golden Trio .
Kreacher
Kreacher is another hero that deserves a whole lot more mention . His role was importantly cut for the sake of the moving-picture show , and they leave out some of his upright part , such as the time he rally the Hogwarts firm - pixy during the Battle of Hogwarts .
Kreacher is a Greco-Roman example of an foeman turned ally . By care for him kindly , one was able to see his true colors . He adored his masters , but none more than Regulus Black , and thus he was more than uncoerced to campaign in Regulus ' name .
Professor Slughorn
It ’s so easy and tantalizing to look at Slughorn like he ’s a Noel Coward and a joke . After all , he was on the run when Dumbledore talk him into becoming a professor , and later he was too ashamed of his yesteryear to separate the accuracy .
But there ’s more to him than that . He stick to with Hogwarts even when it became clean-cut that it was no longer a good place to stay . He saw Dumbledore murdered , and yet he stayed in the very building where that expiry fall out . He protected his scholar as best he could , and even rest on during the Battle of Hogwarts — which was arguably the most dangerous place to be at that fourth dimension .
Fleur Delacour
Fleur Delacour is yet another obscure fighter on our list . Fleur ’s introduction was perhaps not the kindest — during the Triwizard Tournament she seemed shallow and uncaring , but her previous coming into court showed her true depth .
Fleur was uncoerced to fight for a school that was not her own , showing up for the Battle of Hogwarts . She also took in multiple injured mass and brute without any hesitation — even when some of them were less than kind to her ( you know who we ’re talking about here ) .
She was a fighter , yes . But she was also a healer in a time of war , and that is something that should never be overlooked .
Professor Flitwick
Professor Flitwick is perhaps one of the more look across Hogwarts Professors , which just does n’t seem fair to us . He may be small but he certainly is fierce . Flitwick ’s charms are not something you want to face up , especially when he ’s tempestuous .
It was Flitwick ’s mien that stopped the affaire d’honneur between McGonagall and Snape ( in the Word ) , and with good cause . That is a wizard who hump plenty of attacking spells , and Snape was impertinent enough to scarper from him . Flitwick was also responsible for hold the barrier around Hogwarts for so long , on top of actually press in the fight itself . Realistically , that list of exploit has only scantily begun to itch the surface .
Firenze
Firenze is another character who deserve more credit than he get under one’s skin . During his first introduction , he take a chance hassle with his people in ordination to land Harry to safety gadget . He even went so far as to grant Harry to cod on his back , which is something not typically done with centaurs .
He ally so powerfully with Dumbledore and Hogwarts that the rest of the Centaurus banished him , putting him at hazard of death should he ever go near the Forbidden Forest . And yet he uphold on with his action , support the fight he believed to be critical . lose your entire family in such a style is no laughing subject , so we ’re going to give Firenze the credit he merit here .
Kingsley Shacklebolt
permit ’s just say it : Kingsley Shacklebolt is a badass . He ’s an excellent belligerent , adept at blending in with muggle society , and he sleep with how to play the game of political science . That made him essential to the Order of the Phoenix , as he was sent off on mission after missionary work without anybody ever suspecting his true alliance .
He ’s also a brilliant hero and is endlessly fast . We can only suppose the risk he accept with warning the Weasley hymeneals party of the danger manoeuver their way . Yet he did n’t hesitate then , nor did he hesitate any of the time that the Order asked him to take up blazon . He was always there for them .
Regulus Black
Oh , Regulus Black . He ’s the validation that a character can truly trade sides , and all because they realise which side was the right side . He did n’t have any dramatic loss to deal with ; alternatively , he simply realized that he had made a misapprehension with his friend .
That mistake finally cost him his life — but he went out on his own term . He sacrifice himself so that Kreacher could survive , escaping with the Horcrux ( with ordering to destroy it ) . This was an action that would have stayed buried always , if not for Harry and his friends . The fact that Regulus was hunky-dory with that fact speak volume about his action .
Aberforth Dumbledore
Last on our lean is Aberforth Dumbledore . It ’s well-off to forget that Dumbledore had two siblings , though only one last to the outset ( and end ) of the serial publication . Aberforth was a man destroy by grief , thanks to the loss of his babe . Admittedly he also faced a lot of rage and ire ( manoeuver at Dumbledore ) . But that rage never stopped him from doing what was proper .
When the competitiveness came , Aberforth helped evacuate the student ( though that part might not have been so uncoerced ) . Before that , he was the reason Harry and crowd were able to get through Hogsmeade safely , risking his own neck by screaming at Death Eaters . Later , he joined the Battle of Hogwarts , and there ’s no doubt in our mind that he took out a Death Eater or two all on his own .
