Most of us look back on the originalJumanjifilm with nostalgic joy . It ’s just a merriment picture starring one of the best actors of all prison term , Robin Williams , along with a stellar tolerate cast . We also ca n’t serve but notice that aside from the joke that are mean to be funny , the movie is also screen with plot holes that are accidentally hilarious . These plot holes only become more agape when look at next to the motion-picture show ’s subsequence , Jumanji : Welcome to the Jungle .

Let ’s look back and snort over the many different plot of ground holes that these playfulness films have while enjoy the latest installation of the series , Jumanji : The Next Level .

The Board Game Washed Up On A Beach

At the ending ofJumanji , the biz washes up on a beach , indicating that the next dangerous undertaking will take the participants back into the board game . Instead , receive to the Junglewas based on a video game .

As a reboot this works delicately , but Alan Parrish ’s name was used in it . While this was more of an homage to Robin Williams , it does constitute a timeline that might not work out well .

If the plank game predates the video game , it create sense for Parrish to have spend time there before , but it seems as if the new movie should have continue with the cliffhanger on which the original ended .

Time Passes Differently

When Alan Parrish emerges from the game , he ’s definitely had a couple of decades to get crack haired and much older . While Alan patently aged chronologically in the firstJumanjifilm , Alex had no idea how much time had expire while he was trapped in the biz in the 2d moving-picture show . He ’s altogether clueless regarding how much clock time has passed and shocked when his new friends tell him .

Given the rules established within the first secret plan , Alex should have been a much old man when the teens trapped in the game met up with him , but then that would ’ve made Bethany ’s crush all the weirder .

Alan And Sarah Just Dump The Game

After everything they ’ve been through , Alan and Sarah might think about in reality destroying the game , burying it in a deep well or otherwise trying to bring through someone else from the pain and suffering they ’ve endured . Why send it off to have pain in the ass and agony for some other unsuspecting kids when they could by all odds prevent it from washing up on someone ’s shore ? Alan could even do what he accidentally did to   Carl Bentley ’s skid design .

What do they do rather ? They dump it into a river . It ’s someone else ’s problem now . How ironic would it have been if Peter and Judy had trip upon it ?

Alex Recognizes Teens He’s Never Seen

Spencer looks nothing like Bravestone ( Dwayne " The Rock " Johnson ) , yet when an grownup Alex , unfreeze from the game , occur upon the four teens who economize his life and helped him win the game , he instantly recognizes them . How is this even potential ?

mayhap it would make horse sense if they agreed to meet up on a sure Clarence Shepard Day Jr. and fourth dimension , but they never do that we know about . Since when does a random group of teenager walking down the street together automatically make them the four kids who store your life in a video game age ago ? Has Alex squall out to other quartette before only to be reward with weird looking at ?

Alex’s House Isn’t Abandoned

Since Alex did n’t disappear into the game , the timeline changed and his family remains in town – right where the stripling would frequently take the air by his household . Has Alex known who they are this entire time as he ’s grown up ? He would have in all probability seen some of them as   little shaver grow up , so how are they just now meeting ?

If he does make out the teen from watching them raise up , it does n’t show when he receive them again on the street . Recognition dawns on his brass , so it ’s not like he already acknowledge the identity of each of the teens .

Alan Isn’t Wild Enough

spend 26 years in the hobo camp with no other human fellow traveller , save for one who wants to hunt you down , is bound to have some effects on a soul . While Alan Parrish is definitely a bit on the wild side , he ’s right smart too civilized for someone who has n’t even gone through pubescence in New social club .

If Alan worked with other players in the biz like the teen inWelcome to the Jungledid , this might make more sense , but if he were really alone in the plot , he really should be much more gruff and risky , specially when he verbalize and interacts with people .

Jaguar Gem Powers

InWelcome to the Jungle , the Jaguar ’s Eye bestows malevolent powers upon the person who wields it . It also help them telepathically control brute . corking ! So how derive only   Professor Russell Van Pelt aim these cool powers when he touches the stone ? It ’s perish back and forth among the thespian during the polar final battle tantrum , so why do n’t any of them abruptly harness the same ability ?

Plenty of theoretical explanations survive for this , from the time drop bring together with the gem to research on its use to the intention of its toter , but it ’s never explained and leaves a plot hole .

Judy And Peter Remembered Nothing

One of the most uncouth plot holes that fans laugh about is the inconsistency between the movies when it add up to memory . Why do the teens ofJumanji : receive to the Jungleremember all that encounter while Peter and Judy of the originalJumanjihad no idea about the adventures they ’d have with Alan and Sarah ?

While it ’s nice that the teens can recall everything they ’ve been through and partake the experience together , transfer their lives forever and a day , it ’s bittersweet that Peter and Judy do n’t get the same experience . They do get their parents ' safety out of the deal , which is exponentially better , but why not both ?

They Play The Game In The House

Why are Alan , Sarah , Judy and Peter so engrossed upon destroy the latter two ’s home with the secret plan ? There ’s no rule inJumanjithat states it must be played indoors , yet they continue to keep going back home to adjudicate and diddle the biz .

It would make much more sense to not only play the plot outdoors , particularly if you need to range off from bats or Leo , but to just quickly pass the die to the next soul and keep run while you play the game to get it over with as apace as potential . Some fans theorize it could be over within five minutes if this strategy were used .

Van Pelt’s Bullet Is Sucked Back Into The Game

In the climactic   moment near the ending of the first motion picture when Van Pelt takes a shot that ’s trusted to send one of our heroes to the grave accent , we all released a collective suspiration of relief when his bullet , along with Van Pelt and the triggerman he stole from our human beings , were all yank right back into the game , sustain the refuge of Alan , Sarah and the kid .

The thing is , there ’s no grounds for Van Pelt ’s last shot to miss given that the bullet was n’t from Jumanji and should n’t have been pulled back into the game . It should have either cope with its mark or dropped on the level , the former unfortunately making more signified .
