A Nightmare on Elm Street ’s 2010 remake had a lot of problem , but one of the biggest was a missed opportunity to exchange Freddy ’s motive . It was inevitable thatA Nightmare on Elm Streetwould get remade , and thatFreddy Kruegerwould be played by a Modern player . Freddy is just too iconic a character to ever truly rest in peace , and there ’s essentially unlimited potential for creative thinking when it comes to the approximation of setting slasher celluloid within a ambition public .
unhappily , theA Nightmare on Elm Streetremake was mostly happy to settle for being a mediocre recreation ofWes Craven ’s original classic . The few times it tried something new , like the " micro naps " idea , were interesting , but right smart too much of the film was simply rehashing famous scene using CGI special outcome that somehow take care much worse than the practical effects Craven used back in 1984 .
