The Invisible Man
Universal and Blumhouse ’s version ofThe Invisible Manmay no longer roll around the origins of the title of respect graphic symbol , but the monster of myth is still central to the modernistic retelling . This time around , the film follow Cecilia ( Elisabeth Moss ) as she tries to judder off her opprobrious ex-husband Adrian ( Oliver Jackson - Cohen ) , who has literally become invisible to keep her under his control .
As the trailer makes it evident that none of the events are simply figment of Cecilia ’s mental imagery , the crux of the narration is both how she can fly the coop him and why he wo n’t let her go . In that vein , the lead actors had to have several conversations with director and screenwriter Leigh Whannell to develop their backstory .

Jackson - Cohen partake how some of those conversations kick the bucket with Screen Rant , during a press result in honor of the plastic film ’s February 28 release . After spilling a few stunt secrets , he even deigned to ride his other extremely anticipate project - the approaching sequel toThe Haunting of Hill House .
Congratulations onThe Invisible Man . You were terrifying even when you were not there . Speaking of which , what is it like embodying a reference that so often is n’t there ?
Oliver Jackson - Cohen : Well , it ’s quite a bizarre experience . Lizzie and I spent a lot of prison term talking about the dynamics of Adrian and Cecilia , and we felt - even though the motion-picture show is called The Invisible Man , and he is not there - we feel it really of import to be very specific about what their relationship was like and what Adrian was like .
And I think that Leigh ’s done an unbelievable job of making him feel that he is this threat throughout the picture . So , it was kind of an amazing experience . You go and you do your job as an actor , and you do all your backstory , and yeah . It felt like just any other chore , really , in that respect .
We also see that it ’s not just Celia with whom he has that unusual dynamic of control , but also with his brother . It ’s unclear really what was going on between them . What kind of conversations did you have with Michael Dorman ?
Oliver Jackson - Cohen : You fuck what was crazy ? We never play . Michael and I never met ; I had to leave to go and shoot what I ’m shooting at the moment . And so we never run into . It ’s a shame , because he ’s so brilliant in the movie .
But , yeah , we actually never spoke about any of it . So , all of that material is all him .
How do you bozo deal the stunts and choreography of the fight view ? Are you there on set in the suit ?
Oliver Jackson - Cohen : In the crazy green suit ? We ’re trying to not severalise hoi polloi how we did it , but I was there . Or was I ?
The choreography of all the stunt were just insane . The stunt squad are unbelievable , and what Leigh has done camera work - wise to capture those is … He does this thing , which is done on a enumeration . And so , the cameras are set up on this - I do n’t know what , it ’s like a lead - and it can move anywhere . But you pre - program it on a computer , so everything ’s done like a dancing .
It ’s all choreograph , but the camera can move in sort of abnormal room , because it ’s not being handled by camera operator . So , it was unbelievable to watch .
Clearly , you ’re a man of many secrets . One more isThe Haunting of Bly Manor . We know that you are thankfully going to be in it . Is there anything else that you may tell us ?
Oliver Jackson - Cohen : No , you know that I ’ll get in trouble . You have sex I ’m the worst , because I would . That ’s the thing . I feel like I can trust you .
The surd thing is , is The Haunting of Hill House was - this makes me sound like chesty - such a brilliant show . I really loved it . It was such an incredible story , what Mike had done . And so the hard thing was , how ’s he going to kind of make a second one and it be as as magnificent ?
And he has , which is just phenomenal . We finished shooting . … I left The inconspicuous humankind germinate to go and start up on Bly Manor , and it ’s quite the news report . He ’s so cagy , Mike Flanagan .
