TheStar Warsuniverse is n’t on the nose known for its witticism . With such in high spirits stakes and intergalactic mission there often is n’t a lot of meter to crack one liners . However , there are a few characters that break this moulding and appropriate themselves to be one of the funniest element of the films .
While characters like Jar Jar have been create for kids , he in reality is n’t that funny to anyone . This list is calculate at characters that genuinely induce laughs in the celluloid and who we would consort with being funny . Here ’s 1o of those personalities , ranked !
MAZ KANATA
Maz is an interesting character as she ’s not of necessity essay to be funny . However , everything from her purpose to over exaggerated glasses has us laughing a short routine . Her trade sexual union war was also hilarious , but despite being small in stature she ’s an incredible warrior .

General Hux also is n’t trying to be funny , but it ’s difficult not to laugh at this royal leader . Although he ’s been gifted with expectant power , Hux is really sickly weak and pretty much pathetic . Especially in the second film , he ’s played for laughs more than anything .
It ’s very hard to take Hux seriously . Despite his magnanimousness it ’s quite percipient that he is terrified at every second . It ’s also very well-off for our heroes to make playfulness of him , as the likes of Poe have done in the past tense . Maybe Hux should grow a backbone !
C-3PO AND R2-D2
We really ca n’t have one droid without the other and so we ’ve had to include honest pals C-3PO and R2 - D2 together . They are a drollery span act with one playing the straight man and one the other the top comic performing artist . However , usually these purpose switch between them !
C3 - PO is in all likelihood the funnier of the two . Most of his clowning fare from his irrational , or sometimes completely calculate , worrying . He loves to tell you the betting odds and fret about them and when he ’s not predicting trouble he ’s probably nonplus into some .
BB-8
If R2 - D2 is a cat , BB-8 is absolutely a hot dog . As a loveable pet and fellow traveler BB-8 is in reality really funny . His cute exterior and actions definitely aid to endear him to consultation , but the small ball like droid is also pretty witty himself .

We have n’t even seen that much of him yet but interview are already loving him . While we have to admit that other droids such as K2 - SO are also screaming and deserve a joint spot here , IG-11 is everything that work about the robots in this world . Just do n’t let him self destruct !
K2-SO
K2 - SO is an fantastically sarcastic droid and pretty lazy when it comes to helping humans . We know he means well really and will aid in any way he can , but he would n’t even transmit Cassian ’s cup of tea for him ! He comes from a long assembly line of witty droids in Star Wars .
K2 may be the funniest droid in the whole universe though , both in and out ofcanon . It ’s why he ’s get his own spin - off show on Disney Plus and why buff so speedily gravitate towards the towering former imperial droid .
PRINCESS LEIA
Princess Leia is witty , stern and at times the most sarcastic Star Wars character go . She ’s been a princess , a drawing card and could have even been aJedi , but amongst all of this she ’s kept her appeal and in force humour , cracking jokes , usually at others expense .
You in spades do n’t want to get on the wrong side of her , but she ’s probably one of the only characters that could actually out wit Han Solo himself and for that we have to give her extra reference . Her responsibilities does stand for she often has to be serious though .
POE AND FINN
We ’ve mentioned a few different twosome on here so we ca n’t forget one of the good bromances that Star Wars have ever put to screen . The Resistance pilot and the rebellious storm cavalryman both running head first into a combat for the greater good .
While both are suspect individually and the films have split them up a few times , their comedic timing works much well as a duo . Luckily the final film of the trilogy has paired them up once again so we ’re looking for more hilarious commentary between the two .
HAN SOLO AND CHEWIE
Could it really be anyone else in this top smudge ? Ever since they were usher in Han and Chewie were the funniest fictitious character on screen . They are rash , sometimes totally idiotic but so grand . They have a splendid friendly relationship and fantastic chemistry .
Chewie usually keeps Han in check as he can be the more irritable of the two of them . Han ’s translation of Chewbacca have always made us express joy and not to mention the tailspin - off film managed to capture some of that chemistry when the squad first adjoin each other .
