However , Jedi survivors pursue Kylo , hop to bring him back . InThe Rise of Kylo Ren # 4,this leads to a confrontation between the two Jedi and the Knights of Ren , with Ben in the center . One of Jedi seems to start bringing Ben back , before Ren kills him . This causes Ben to fight Ren with rage and fierceness , as the voices of Snoke and Palpatine exhort him to vote down Ren and give in to the non-white side . Ben does , and his descent into the wickedness as Kylo Ren is feel by many . However , the most tragic reaction comes fromhis own mother , who feels the going of her son from across the stars .
Leia feel the exit of her son and his turning to the dark side is significant , as it essentially create a poetic correspondence later on down the line of work at the end of Ben Solo ’s journeying . She first feel his destruction when he fall to the dark , then feels his death again when he return to the light . It just encapsulate how much Leia loved her son and hoped longer than most that there was a chance for Ben ’s repurchase . Leia ’s use and mere presence were instrumental in pulling Ben back to the light source despite Kylo ’s underground . Eventually , it was her own last that opened the door for Rey to get through to Ben and give him the opportunity to make thing correct .
