The Skywalker saga is preparing for its net chapter withStar war : The Rise of Skywalker , which also closes the sequel trilogy , mark the end of an era in theStar Warsuniverse .

Many scenes from the trailer take post inthe downfall of the second Death Star – which was destroyed at the end ofReturn of the Jedi – such as Rey and Kylo ’s conflict and these two standing in the laying waste withPalpatine ’s thronein the desktop . Decades have pop off since the Death Star cease to function , but it count like it still has a lot to bid , and Rey might be looking for something important there . Making the scene with Rey in the Star Destroyer in Jakku an action one as it was designate would n’t have match with the residue of the film , given that it start passably strong with the First Order ’s flack on the village of Tuanul and Poe and Finn later get out from the Order , but it does outfit now . Changing the scavenger scene also allowed Rey ’s development to be smoother and , in a way , more impressive , and made way for a much ripe version of it .
