While Cavill is most known for playing Superman , he ’s stayed meddlesome sinceJustice League . WhileJustice Leaguewas undergoing reshoots , Cavill was filmingMission : Impossible- Falloutalongside Tom Cruise , Rebecca Ferguson , and Vanessa Kirby . This role also direct to one of the pocket-sized problems inJustice League : theinfamous moustache debacle . Justice Leaguewas panned by critics for more reasons than just the ill erased mustache , but the picture was also the last time fan saw Cavill play Superman . There have been rumors of aMan of Steel 2ever since the first flick came out , but nothing has ever come to fruition . Fans have been demand for a sequel , and Cavill want one too .

In a late audience for his upcoming Netflix showThe Witcher , Kevin McCarthyasked him to sing about the Snyder Cut . Cavill basically said he would be interested to see it , but is more focused on the next film featuring his Superman graphic symbol . Cavill ’s full comment can be read below :
" I have not see any Snyder Cut . I do n’t have intercourse if there ’s anything with that exists that is a Snyder Cut . I ’m sure there ’s footage out there which has probably been pieced together over the year . I ’m always interested to see how that stuff turns out , but that is very much a chapter of my past . I would rather talk about what is going to happen in the futurity . The future of Superman , how I can express that character from the comic Scripture , which ties in nicely to Man of Steel . Man of Steel I really like that movie and I ’d wish to be capable to say the story , where it was left at that point . "
While rooter have been ask forMan of Steel 2for a while , they have also been wanting to see the Snyder Cut ofJustice League . The film suffer after becoming a Frankenstein of ideas since Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon had two different ideas for the superhero picture show . Fans have been very outspoken about seeing Snyder ’s original imaginativeness , as have the cast of characters of the film . Ben Affleck , Gal Gadot , Ray Fisher , andJason Momoa have all shown their supportof the Snyder Cut . Cavill , however , has remained mostly quiet about his Snyder Cut opinion . Many have hypothesize that he had n’t point out because of hishopes to makeMan of Steel 2 , which seems to be supported by this interview .
Despite the DCEU struggling to get off the ground initially , the DC characters still have a Brobdingnagian buff base that would certainly go to the dramatics to seeMan of Steel 2 . So far , the DC superheroes have share the spotlight in different picture show , but nobody has gotten a consecrate subsequence just yet . Wonder Womanwill be the first superhero to get a subsequence , and Momoa will return forAquaman 2 in 2022 . It ’s still possible that Cavill could return for aMan of Steelsequel , but withBatman being remodel with Robert Pattinson , it ’s still indecipherable what the hereafter of the DCEU will hold .
