At the time of   this writing , there have been eightSpider - Manmovies . The first three were train by Sam Raimi , starring Tobey Maguire , Kirsten Dunst , and James Franco as Peter Parker , Mary Jane Watson , and Harry Osborn respectively . Then come along theAmazing Spider - Manfranchise , which failed to reach the same lofty heights . And , in more late times , we ’ve been treat to two more solo movies starring Tom Holland as the webhead - as well as last year ’s excellentInto The Spider - Verse .

So we now take a look back through the former eight movies and pick out the worst thing about every one . part with 2002’sSpider - Man …

Spider-Man: The Obliviousness Of Everybody Around Peter Parker

Prior to being bitten by a wanderer , Peter Parker was just your normal guy . He lived with his aunt and uncle in Queens , struggled with his love life history at high schooltime and , in truth , was a bit whacky . However , when he drive his power , he drastically changes - both in look and how he acts .

And the worst affair about the blockbuster is that nobody notices , despite it being obvious . He does n’t fatigue his glasses , he ’s short got a six pack , he ’s suddenly experience amazing fighting acquisition and he ’s much more confident . All while there ’s a new superhero in townsfolk . Students at his gamy schooling even see his webbing ! It ’s incense to watch .

Spider-Man 2: Harry Osborn

Spider - Man 2is a superhero so close to hone that it still stands up there with the very best ever released . Tobey Maguire is at his most - comfortable playing Peter Parker , Kirsten Dunst ups her game importantly as Mary Jane Watson while Alfred Molina prove himself to be a more than worthy villain , just one movie after Willem Dafoe ’s sublime carrying into action as Norman Osborn .

But James Franco is the frail link in this smash hit . All he does is groan about Spider - Man , wrongly blaming him for the demise of his don . Once again , it ’s infuriate for audiences to see , particularly as they know the truth . Osborn chokes when it comes to kill his protagonist upon learn his identicalness - making his fictional character ’s whole purpose in the motion picture somewhat excess .

Spider-Man 3: Too Many Villains

After two extremely good outings , hopes were high forSpider - Man 3 . However , Sony ’s decision to take creative control led to the worst installation of the trilogy , with the call to have three villains in the motion picture inthe forms of Venom , Sandman and the New Goblinbackfiring .

The decision to have three unlike bad guys - all with very different motif - leads to the movie add up across as disjointed . And it ’s arguably what try it a fizzle , far more than the decision to have Peter Parker sour into a goth or the cringe dance moves the character presentation . Even Sam Raimi would later express a feeling that the inclusion of such cock-a-hoop eccentric was too daunting a task for the time .

The Amazing Spider-Man: It’s A Rehash

wanderer - Man fans were gutted when Sam Raimi ’s fourth installment of the franchise was cancelled , with the theater director unable to get a sufficient script together . Sony then made the brave call to reboot the dealership but , when it come up to put the movie together , it all matte up rather insistent .

Peter have a crush on a young lady who is ab initio out of his league ? Check . Uncle Ben dying again ? contain . Another funeral scene ? Check . The listing goes on . It was the company ’s idealistic clock time to start again but , really , they just did the same thing as Raimi ’s trilogy . With a considerably worse villain , too , with Dr Curt Connors ’ plan to reverse a whole city into gargantuan lizards even scoffed at by Harry Osborn in the subsequence .

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Pointless Parkers

We virtually snuff it with the decision to have three baddie as a bad peak again . Seriously , The Amazing Spider - Man 2should have focused on Harry Osborn or Electro , not both at the same prison term . It certainly should n’t have had the duo team up and throw Paul Giamatti ’s tawdry Rhino into the equation as well .

But it ’s the decision to spend much of the story focusing on the recollective proceed Parkers that see this moving-picture show become a flop . Nobody has ever want to know more about them - because they ’re just not relevant . Director Marc Webb , however , consider it was worth having them in the pic for ground we still ca n’t really fathom . They did nothing for the plot , besides waste time and detracting from Peter ’s scrap with Harry and Electro , as well as his relationship unhinge with Gwen Stacy .

Spider-Man: Homecoming: The Shockers

For the most part , Spider - Man : Homecomingfocuses on Peter Parker ’s fight against the Vulture , who is stealing alien technology and using it for his own dastard scheme . But Sony , typically , felt another villain had to be in the movie instead . And two worker , Bokeem Woodbine and Logan Marshall - Green , were able to act the Shocker .

Except both are forgettable . Like , really forgettable . The first version of the character , played by Marshall - Green gets disintegrated by the Vulture after mouthing off too much . And the second interlingual rendition gets amaze by Ned . earnestly , Ned ? No discourtesy to Spider - Man ’s honorable friend but he ’s not precisely superhero material . And that means you ca n’t precisely be villain textile either .

Spider-Man: Far From Home: Killing Off Mysterio

Spider - Man : Far From Home is another picnic for the webhead that ranks up there with the very near . It ’s glorious seeing Peter Parker outside of New York City , travelling to places such as Prague , Berlin and France as he aims to forbid what he think is a exotic blast . Really , it’sjust the excellent Mysterio .

Bad guys have been absolutely nailed by the MCU in recent times . Michael B. Jordan was splendid as Killmonger in Black Panther , while Josh Brolin smashed it at Thanos during both Avengers : Infinity War and Avengers : Endgame . And Jake Gyllenhaal was another desirable bad guy wire of the genre , with his antic and deception as Mysterio sustain audiences on the edge of their seats . Our only complaint is that he was killed off after just one movie . That seems a waste product , particularly with such an interesting character and brilliant actor to boot .

Into The Spider-Verse: Not Seeing More Suits

Into the Spider - Verseis another instalment for the webhead that scales brilliant heights . So brilliant , in fact , that Sony have already declare that a sequel will hitting house next class . And we have only one very small complaint : that we do n’t get to see all of the amazing suits in Aunt May ’s basement that are there on video display .

This is something we hope a subsequence does do . A close second is that some of the background rendering and textures is a lilliputian off - but we ’re willing to permit that slide . It ’s still a tops movie and we ’re eager to see what Sony have in stock for us when the sequel come out in 2022 .
