In a trailer forWolverine # 2by Benjamin Percy and Adam Kubert , Wolverine encounter his biggest enemies , Sabretooth , Lady Deathstrike and Weapon X scientist Abraham Cornelius . The murderer ’s row of James Howlett ’s villain straight thrust at him , and Wolverine fights back . When Sabretooth stress to rip him with his own claw , Wolverine responds by stick to his claw through his half - brother ’s chest . Cornelius judge to shoot Wolverine as he kills Sabretooth , but is met with penetrative claw through his chin . Lady Deathstrike tries to leap at Wolverine but is stab through the chest . At first glance , it appears Wolverine made quick work of the villains . However , he actually killed his own teammates as Lady Deathstrike is revealed to be Jean Grey .
It appear Wolverine thought he was doing the right thing by taking out the group of villains , but in reality , he just murdered Jean , Kid Omega and Domino . It ’s a deeply sad moment , as the last matter Wolverine would ever want to do is murder Jean -something he ’s done before- but he does n’t realize what he ’s doing until it ’s too late . The interrogative stay : Why did Wolverine murder the group of cristal - Men ? Was he pass berserk ? Was he manipulate by the mysterious " Pale Girl ? " If the body rightfully are those of the XTC - Men , then they are favourable to havetheir own resurrection machine on Krakoathat ’s subject of bringing the hero back to life with their old memories in - tactfulness .
